Matt, I’m glad you are already finding this method helpful. Keep doing it! You can literally start to rewire who you are throughout the day, by simply using this one technique.
The technique is a variation of a method shared to me by one of my late teachers. The original method was developed/tested during a military intelligence project, run on 5 different US Air Force bases. Over 2,000 participants were in the original study. All the research behind it is what first got my attention. Then, after I started getting results, I was sold on it.

Some people are more inclined towards certain spiritual gifts. For example, some people are more visual and it’s easier for them to develop visual clairvoyance, some people sense energy more easily, and it’s easier for them to flow energy during healing, and so on.
I get a sense you are more psychically empathic, so it’s easier for you to pick up on people’s deep feelings, and it would be easier for you to help people on these levels.
But…all spiritual gifts can be developed, no matter who you are. The right training can open up your abilities, even if you’re never had these types of experiences.
So instead of “What are my spiritual gifts?” – maybe the question is what spiritual gifts do you want to develop, and what do you have to do in your own life to make this happen?

We don’t really cover Astrology here too much, although a member might have something to say.

Sometimes an event can speed it up, but everybody has the ability to develop spiritual awareness and abilities (psychic perception, healing abilities, manifestation ability, mediumship, etc).
In a matter a few months, most people can develop wide open spiritual perception – if they have the proper training and guidance. It’s actually an easy process. There are various paths for achieving this, and there always has been. My opinion is that most people just don’t do it because they are either lazy, brainwashed, stubborn, arrogant, satisfied with mediocrity, or irrationally skeptical.
In fact, these things can be achieved very quickly. In our trials with thousands of people, we’ve take small sub groups and run them through specific processes. Wide open spiritual awareness was achieved quickly. The problem is most people don’t have to the tools to be comfortable in life right away with this type of awareness/ability.
This is why we spread out our training program over a period of time (10 months). Otherwise, it can be like giving someone liquid LSD and expecting them to function well in life. Not a good thing to do to somebody!
For next steps, I would suggest getting legitimate metaphysical training. You can do this with us or elsewhere (see our Life Mastery Program). I’ve met many “natural” psychics and healers over the years, and while good at what they do sometimes, many tend to be scattered, sloppy, sickly, and air heads because they don’t know how to manage, control, and focus their gifts. Proper training will help you with this.
PS: watch out for big fluffy courses where you never get to work directly from the author/creator. We’ve had opportunities (MindValley, etc) to do this with our training, and we didn’t. A massive commercialized course is a watered-down approach that gives people limited, if any, results.

When I looked at it, got a sense it was a form without a body.
Reality is highly populated with entities, even though most people are oblivious to it. Fortunately, most of the stuff out there is friendly, although you will encounter a lot of mischievous behavior, which I what I sensed about your encounter.
It’s not too difficult to reach a level where you can perceive these things.
Also, most shielding methods stink. Just my opinion based on working with thousands of people over the years. If you keep running into issues like this, get some better training and learn how to protect yourself. Being invaded is not a requirement.

I agree. Sometimes, implying that you understand can be disastrous. For example, if you say that to someone who is suicidal, things could go really bad.
For tough situations, you can try saying “I can only imagine what it must be like” and even tell them you can’t understand. But you are still being supportive, you are still establishing rapport, which is important if you want to communicate.
I’ve seen this taught in crisis counselor training.
Whether methods like these are manipulative is something you might have to decide in the moment. But it’s a lot safer than say, taking control over someone empathically and controlling their emotions, images, thoughts, etc. That’s a lot more ethically risky and is usually only good for helping others in certain situations. Use it the wrong way and you’ll learn about how Karma works.
But with more simple communication techniques, I wouldn’t stress out about it too much. Listen to what your gut is telling you.
