Does matt love me? Will he always be in my life and is there anything i can do to ensure he loves me and stays inmy life?

I do sense there is an attraction there, but i also get a sense of him being selfish and stubborn (not all men are btw).

I would consider keeping things open with him, but put most of your energy back into your own life. I keep seeing a project that you have always wanted to do, maybe a small business or something artistic.

Once you are more whole yourself, he will respect you more. He won’t treat you as badly because he won’t feel like he can get away with it. Let me know what you think.
