Credits: 228.01I honestly don’t think you are doing anything wrong– it is just that in this day and age potential employers don’t respond to thank you for your interest. After interviews they only tend to notify you if you are selected for the position. It may be months down the road before you are contacted for an interview.
Have you looked into any free employment agencies that might be able to assist you? You obviously are doing everything that you can.
The very best of luck to you!
🙂June 14, 2010 at 11:36 pm #7443Hi Kathy,
I have tried those in the past and I have had no better results than what I am currently doing, but I guess I can give it another shot. My situation here just hit a huge snag and that’s why I really need to get things moving along. Right now I just need to be elsewhere from my current situation and I just don’t have the means to do it.Thank you for your kindness:)

Credits: 228.01It is all right to go back and try again with a company that you didn’t receive a response from. Things are constantly changing. This would only show your interest and determination. With all of you continued efforts, something will have to turn up soon!
Take care!

Credits: 228.01I honestly can’t tell if the job that you most recently applied for will be the one that you get, but you should have a job sometime this summer. With all of your hard work and determination, something should turn up soon!
Take care!

July 1, 2010 at 6:21 pm #7448Hi again,
I was just wondering if it were possible to tell me which direction would possibly yield the desired results I have been waiting for should I go with the temp agency for which I have recently applied for or continue with pursuing the possible healthcare position that I have applied for, but still need more documentation before I will even be considered for it?Thank you in advance:)

Credits: 228.01Actually, you could pursue both avenues. With a temp agency, an assignment can often lead to permanent employment with a company. Also, they do understand if a temporary employee is offered a permanent position elsewhere.
If you were to start with the temp agency and the healthcare position should be offered to you, that would be really great! Either way you can’t lose!
Something is bound to break soon!
Take care!
🙂July 2, 2010 at 12:42 am #7450Thank you so much Kathy:) I am just so ready to start working again because the frustration of the waiting game has slowly taken it’s toll. However, I do appreciate you taking the time to assist me with this.

Credits: 228.01If you really need a new roof, then you will need to do what it takes to get one! Whatever financial arrangements that need to be made in order for this to happen are necessary. Just make sure that the roofing company that you contract is trustworthy. You may want to inquire if the roof could be repaired instead of being replaced?
This is just one of life’s many emergency situations! I hope that this will go as smoothly as possible for you.
Take care,
🙂July 6, 2010 at 12:55 am #7453The roof is very old and it needs to be replaced this is just one of my many reasons for needing a steady income right now, but thanks for the advice:)
July 15, 2010 at 6:10 pm #7454Hi Kathy,
So far I have had zero responses is there any ideas as to why this is happening?
Thanks:)

Credits: 228.01Sadly, this is just a sign of the times. Years ago companies would send a letter to thank the applicant for applying. If they did not think that the applicant had the necessary qualifications this would be explained. They also used to do this following an interview.
Companies just don’t have the resources to do this any longer. In some cities there can be up to 500 applicants for the same job. It is a situation of having to pursue a job search every day, all day long. To put in an application with a company and then move on to the next potential opportunity. A job search is literally a full time job in itself.
You may hear from a company where you applied for a position some months ago. It is a matter of being in the right place at the right time. You might do well to consider the temp agency. These positions can often lead to a permanent job with a company.
Good luck with your continued search–
